1. Download and install the VPN software of your choice on your computer. We recommend using OpenVPN as it’s open source and therefore trustworthy.
2. Once the software is installed, launch it and connect to the server of your choice. Make sure to select a server that supports Vuze traffic.
3. Now open Vuze and go to Tools > Options > Mode > Advanced Mode. Then click on Connection in the sidebar and select Protocol Encryption from the options that appear below. change the settings here so that they match those in your screenshot provided earlier step by selecting “Require Handshake” under Outgoing Encryption Method and “AES-256-CBC” under Incoming Encryption Method . Also make sure that both Allow Inbound && Allow Outbound are checked before continuing onto the next step: connecting vuze through our VPN
4)Now, still in Connection tab Under Interface Settings locate “Listen Port” -> Set this to 0 (zero), which will tell vuze let vuze choose a random port every time it starts up
5)Click OK at the bottom of this page, then select Network from left sidebar again
6)Checkmark box beside “Enable UPnP NAT Traversal”, if its not already marked
7)*At very bottom* Select IpFilterSetup button near “Download managing” text
8)On next screen Checkmark box beside “Add azureus’ built-in IP Filters” if its not already marked -> Click NEXT -> On following screen click FINISH
9)*UPnp should now be setup properly After all previous steps have been completed*, try restarting Vuze once more just for good measure =). Your client is now configured for safe use with our secure VPN service!

Worth knowing
A VPN can certainly help to protect you when using Vuze (or any other torrenting client), but it’s not absolutely essential. Whether or not you use a VPN is really up to you and your own personal level of risk tolerance.
If you do decide to use a VPN with Vuze, then we recommend strongly that you choose one with a strict no-logging policy. This means that even if the authorities did request logs from your VPN provider, they would have nothing to hand over. The two most popular providers right now who fit this description are Private Internet Access and MullvadVPN.

Once you’ve found a VPN provider that supports pfSense, sign up for an account and then log in to your account dashboard. From there, you should be able generate a unique configuration file for your pfSense router. Download this file and then open it in a text editor.
You’ll see that the file contains all of the information needed for your pfSense router to connect to the VPN server. The next step isto import this file into PfSene. To do this, goto System > Certificate Manager > Authorities and click “Import.” Choose the file you just downloaded and click “Open.” Once the file has been imported, go back tot he Certificate Manager andclick on “Certificates.” Click “Add” and select “Import.” Again, choose thefile you downloaded earlier and click “Open.”
Now that the file has been imported into pfSene, we needto tell our router whereto find it . Go t o System > General Setupand fill outyour DNS information under the “General” tab as shown below:
