First, open the Bitdefender Central app and go to the ‘Protection’ tab. Here, you should see a toggle switch for ‘Bitdefender VPN’. If this switch is turned on, then VPN is enabled.
Secondly, you can also check in your device’s settings menu. On iOS devices, go to Settings > General > VPN. On Android devices, go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > VPN. If you see ‘BitdefenderVPN’ listed as one of the configured VPNs, then it is indeed running.
Finally, another way to tell if Bitdefender VPN is up and running is by looking at the icon in the status bar/notification area. On both iOS and Android devices, there will be a small key icon present when VPN is connected.
